Students must demonstrate minimum accomplishment by achieving at least 85% correct on Writing Assignments, Tests, and Oral Presentations. If students don’t meet this standard they will review and re-do until they reach 85%.
As a student is required to put forth this effort and accomplishment, he will be learning far more than the apparent academic material. He will learn self-government, persistence, and hard-work. He will gain self-esteem, motivation, and increased abilities to achieve. Each soul is precious and capable of much more than he knows. With these high expectations, students realize their great potential.
So that we can keep proper a learning environment for all students, White House Academy maintains minimum behavior standards for each student. Students are rewarded for being punctual, prepared for class, wearing the uniform correctly, being respectful, not being disruptive, and making positive contributions.
White House Academy exists to teach in an atmosphere consistent with the ideals and principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We make that atmosphere by committing to conduct that reflects those ideals and principles. Employees and students are chosen from those who voluntarily live the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. All who represent White House Academy are asked to sign the White House Academy Honor Code to show that they commit to keep those standards.
We believe that properly wearing a uniform displays unity, modesty, neatness, and dignity. It demonstrates respect for self, education, teachers and fellow students. Wearing a uniform helps us focus on learning and service, rather than on clothing and accessories and reminds students of their commitment to live by the White House Academy Honor Code.
