About the event
In fourteen ninety-two, the story goes, He sailed the ocean, weathering the woes. With three small ships, a journey grand, Columbus set foot on a new land.
Now every fall, when leaves turn bright, We mark the day of his famous flight. A holiday we celebrate, you see, On the second Monday in October, historically.
