Why do you have a Fundraiser?

Reading is an enriching, enduring activity that can open doors to
wondrous adventures, expand knowledge, and nourish the soul.

Since White House Academy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization fundraising is crucial to support our school. â€‹The Read-a-Thon is our annual fundraiser held throughout the month of February. Students are encouraged to set reading goals and invite sponsors to support them in achieving these goals. Participation from multiple sponsors can greatly impact the success of our fundraiser. Sponsors can be parents, grandparents, other relatives, neighbors, friends and even companies.

As First Lady Laura Bush once said, "Reading is a fundamental tool for building a life of learning, creativity, and accomplishment." Not only will students receive those benefits, those who meet the minimum reading goals and have at least one sponsor are eligible for prizes and a field trip.
